Check frequently asked questions about Temperature
I live in a converted attic room. The room gets very hot when the window A/C unit is not on. I am leaving on a trip for about a week and am unsure whether I should leave the A/C on a low setting to keep the temperature at a reasonable level so my computers and electronics aren't damaged from the heat, or if I should just leave the A/C off since I will not be here at every. I live in Ann Arbor, MI. I realize the outside temperature is never that hot, but the attic is blasted by the sun for most of the day and it feels like an oven up here. What would you do?

I've been washing my hair everyday for as long as I can remember, but, I really do want to treat it properly. I found out that washing your hair everyday is bad for hair as it loses natural oils ect. I tried the condition every day and shampoo every other day but it really bugged me because the conditioner made my hair feel greasy (I didn't even use that much - in fact I only conditioned the ends) I want to shower everyday still at least. What I'm looking for is: How often I should wash my hair, how can I keep growing my hair and keep it healthy - things like that... NOTE: I don't use heat on my hair (other than the shower but I don't actually have the temperature turned up too hot in Summer - I also air dry my hair), I don't dye it and I'm still trying to find a new hairstyle so I don't tie it up too often Serious answers only please - Thanks :)

I live in Sydney and I want to buy a ferret maybe one first then another one but the temperature can receive very icy here and can receive very hot!! I will have a box that's very chilly and a box that's very warm, the hutch has a massive ground floor with the sleeping area (chook nest box) massive, elevated off the ground! I will have a cover over the top and a plastic over the round of the cage!!! Warm blankets mixed with straw, a litter tray, and an extra run connected to the cage which technically makes the hutch huge, I will have a heat resistant box filled with frozen water bottles and straw, the hutch will be in a shady place, and the ferrets will be brought in every day to run around the home, ( I will feret proof the home). Now I know ferrets can live outside, I have seen many ferrets on YouTube and everywhere with hutches outside, but I just want some opinions and how to keep ferrets outside, the weather is pretty stable in Sydney, in winter it is icy but gets hot and in summer it gets hot but can be icy!!! I will have various extensions in the hutch because its has a big length and width which enabled me to add on things like various boxes, so I will have a black box in winter to attract heat and a white box for the chilly box in summer to retract heat!!!!

Completely Underground home, no roof sticking out...no half of the home sticking out...completely underground...in my opinion its the future of housing...the advantages are uncountable..you receive an average temperature year-round in the home, around 60 degrees, you don't have to clean out gutters, don't have to worry about natural disasters except earthquakes, no tornadoes, no snow storms, no high winds breaking glass, no roof changing..completely underground..and it also saves so much space over ground for either work or recreational use..make businesses on top or such...one thing people might ask is, "oh what about ventilation" you can make vents that tube up to the top and receive fresh air, or vent out smoke for cooking or whatever. and also for a little more, you could put solar panels in the ground and receive your possess personal electricity...and also when it rains, you could create a water storage area and boom you have water to filter and use...that right there cuts bills down for housing tremendously. I want every opinions...however if you make the coment "oh its stupid" dont post it...its just a creative idea

I'm currently writing a diary about a wartime evacuee. In this entry she has lice and her aunt puts poison in her hair to remove them. I have written the previous bit but I cant think how to lay out the next scene... The poison ruins her hair so the barber cuts it into a cute bob. Could you write the dramatic haircut scene for me please or give me a general idea of what to write? 'The hair rolled down my front' 'My eyes watered' Thank you in advance! Thanks for helping! Thanks Gracie for your answer, I really appreciate it! Here is my edited version of it: 3rd August 1940 Once in the kitchen she pushed me to sit in the barbers metal seat. The freezing temperature sending chills up and down my spine. The barber whispers something to my aunt for a minute or two, giving me what little time I have to think. Finally, their conversation ended and the two looked at me.The barber's big black boots trudged around behind me, I had no clue what he was doing- I felt slightly paranoid. He loomed over me, his apron tied tightly around him as he stood in front of me intimidatingly. He wrapped a black cover around me. He then released my hair from below the cover. With a snip of his rusty, blunt scissors, a lock of hair slowly fell to the floor, and then another lock in front of my face. The hair rolled down my front and my eyes stung as the stray strands rained down on my eyes. I whimpered, feeling my eyes water. My former glory was now gathering in a heap on

I have a window ac that was working great for a while than it was just on and off even when I still needed it. I thought it was malfunctioning until I realized that even though its very basic it must have a temperature control which turns off the "chilly" when it's chilly outside. We've been having hot days but chilly nights lately but when I bought it the nights were hot which is when it worked fine. I'd crack a window but with it being a window ac I can't crack my window to receive any chilly air in my room. What I was wondering is if I turn on the fan option will that bring in chilly air from outside? That seems logical but I have no idea how these things work. Thank you in advance for the help

Its slightly complicated for me as there is no marking for temperatures and i don't know how to use the grill in it. I searched sites for finding model numbers written anywhere on it but no use, couldn't find any! :( So now i have a cooking range/stove/ oven with no name or model number. Any idea what brand i am dealig with? Any help at every would be useful. Thanks

So I used room temperature tap water in a tiny glass cup and I put a drop of bright pink, then it spread, then I put a drop of black, and it spread but not as much, then I put another drop of pink, then another of black, then pink, then black again. And it looked alright, so I used a toothpick and tried making a "design" and it looked okay, then I dipped my finger into the cup at an angle, and waited a few seconds and used the toothpick to receive the relax of the nail polish away from the cup. I pulled my finger out of the water and there was no design, just a big blob of dirty pink polish. So I threw the water away and used nail polish remover on my nail and started over again with purified water this time. It was still room temperature and I repeated the whole process. I dipped my nail into the water again, then collected the relax of the nail polish with the toothpick, and still, NOTHING. Just a blob of dirty pink with no design. What am I doing wrong?? I didn't have a base coat on my nail. Not sure if that's why it gave me more problems. I really want to change the look of my nails instead of it just being one simple color. Please help! Thanks :)

Open Question: What are the characteristics of the heat conduction oil furnace? thermal oil heater, thermal oil boiler?
What are the characteristics of the heat conduction oil furnace?I just know the following ,who can provide other answer? I receive some from the website(http:ycryjz.en.alibaba.com) 1. High-quality heat source below common-pressure liquid, the oil transfer heating system can output hot oil of maximum 350 ℃ for the heat user . 2. To keep energy and low operating costs Heat-conducting oil heating system is the liquid phase closed cycle. The temperature difference between the output oil temperature and the return oil temperature is 20-30 ℃, that is only to heat a temperature difference of 20-30 ℃ can the working temperature be reached. 3. Low Equipment Investment Due to the reason that the system of the heat-conducting is simple、no water treatment equipment and more auxiliary equipment、low pressure bore by the boilers etc., the investment for the whole system is comparatively low; 4. Safety Because the system only withstands the pump pressure and there is no explosion risk for the heat conduction oil heating system, it is more secured; 5. Environmental Protection Jiangsu ruiyuan heating company (www.7130137.cn) insists the principle to protect environment. The environmental effect of the organic heat carrier heating system is mainly reflected in the minimal fume emissions, no sewage pollution and no thermal pollution. 6. Widely Application Thermal oil heater (Jiangsu ruiyuan heating company :www.7130137.cn)can be applied in the following areas: by high-temperature shaping、 dish heating、 rubber、 drying、 dyeing and printing、 chemical industry、 plywood production、rolled water-proof material production、 asphalt heating、non-woven hot-rolled machine, fiber glass press machine、 reaction kettle、 mould 、drying room、 oven and other heating required industries.

I then checked the vent to look if it was blowing air and it was. I fell asleep but when i woke up for work the next morning it was hot! Overnight my home got warmer and went to 86! I checked to look if i accidentally put it on heat and that wasn't the case. Please help guys! Is it something minor or will i have to call an electrician?

Lets say the temperatures were 230 degrees F. Would there be bubbles on the surface? Id imagine the whole ocean wouldn't boil at the same time because can be 36,000 feet deep and it averages 10,000 feet deep and it is icy at those depths. So would it just be the surface that bubbles or something? I mean if the air temperature was 230 degrees not the water temperature. If the air temperature was over waters boiling point cap would it look like on the oceans?

So would it just be the surface that bubbles or something? Lets also say that the day time temperature was 230 degrees F and the night time temperature were 150 degrees F what would happen then? Would it remain liquid?
